'Today’s English Leicester is a robust, vigorous animal with sound constitution on a well shaped meaty frame. Meat yields of up to 60% have been recorded on Lincoln University CT Scan. Also some breeders have been DNA testing for footrot resistance and cold tolerance resulting in improved production.'
